Description
Anti-DYKDDDDK (Flag) MagBeads are magnetic polymer beads. They are made of high quality murine monoclonal antibodies and carboxyl magnetic beads. They provide rapid magnetic responsiveness. Superparamagnetism, good dispersion, uniform particle size, very low non-specific binding and abundant binding sites.
Anti-DYKDDDDK (Flag) MagBeads can bind to the Met modified N-flag fusion Protein (MET-flag-Protein), N-flag fusion protein (Flag-protein), C-terminal FLAG Fusion Protein (protein-flag).
Features
- Low background—little to no nonspecific binding, and no preclearing
- Highly reproducible—uniform beads ensure the most consistent results
- Highly sensitive—Magbeads technology is the most cited method for sensitive applications, such as ChIP and IP, of low abundance proteins
- Fast and easy— no centrifugation or preclearing steps
Applications
- IP, Co-IP, pull-down, and ChIP assays

Storage
The products should be stably stored at 2~8℃ for 1 year. Do not freeze!
The antibody is clone 1E6, isotype Mouse IgG2b. This clone is raised against the DYKDDDDK (Flag) peptide tag sequence and shows high specificity for Flag-tagged proteins with very low cross-reactivity to endogenous mammalian proteins. Protein binding capacity: ≥0.6 mg protein/mL beads.
Compatible with any protein carrying the canonical DYKDDDDK (Flag) tag — including N-terminal, C-terminal, or internal Flag tags. Also captures proteins with tandem 3×Flag tags. The antibody does not capture 1D4, VSV-G, or other unrelated epitope tags.
No pre-clearing step is needed due to very low non-specific binding. This simplifies the protocol and reduces sample loss compared to traditional bead formats. Add cell lysate directly to the beads in the recommended IP buffer.
Recommended elution options: (1) Flag peptide elution — incubate with 100–500 µg/mL DYKDDDDK peptide in IP buffer at 4°C for 15–30 min; this gives native elution preserving protein activity. (2) Low pH glycine elution (pH 2.5–3.5) — denatures proteins; neutralize immediately. (3) SDS sample buffer — for SDS-PAGE/Western blot only.
Store at 2–8°C for 1 year. Do not freeze. Storage buffer: ddH₂O. Mix by vortexing before use to ensure complete bead resuspension. The bead suspension should be uniform and brown/black in color.
