Product Overview
Clone ACFF-4 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes dynamin-2 (gene DNM2) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 98.1 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 98 kDa.
Dynamin-2 (DNM2) is a ubiquitously expressed large GTPase that pinches off endocytic vesicles, including clathrin-coated vesicles, from the plasma membrane. It also helps remodel actin structures and supports membrane trafficking from the Golgi. Mutations in DNM2 cause centronuclear myopathy and Charcot-Marie-Tooth neuropathy, making it a focus of muscle and nerve research.
