Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets dynein light chain 1, cytoplasmic (gene DYNLL1) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 10.4 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 12 kDa.
DYNLL1 (also called LC8 or PIN) is a small light chain of cytoplasmic dynein 1, the main minus-end-directed microtubule motor. Beyond dynein, it binds many other proteins through a short linear motif and acts as a dimerization hub, so it is studied in intracellular transport and protein complex assembly.

Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Conditions in the example images (IHC): heat-mediated antigen retrieval in EDTA buffer (pH 8.0).
Samples with confirmed staining (ICC/IF): HepG2 cells.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): HEPA1–6 cells, NRK cells, U937 cells.
Immunogen
Recombinant human DYNLL1/PIN fragment (Met1–Gly89), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places dynein light chain 1, cytoplasmic in the chromosome, cytoplasm, nucleus and mitochondrion. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Ubiquitous. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
