Product Overview
Clone 24E34 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes interleukin-27 subunit beta (gene EBI3) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 25.4 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 30 kDa.
EBI3 is a soluble subunit shared by two IL-12 family cytokines. Paired with IL-27p28 it forms IL-27, which regulates T-helper differentiation and limits inflammation, and paired with IL-12p35 it forms IL-35, an immunosuppressive cytokine. It is studied in immune regulation and inflammatory disease.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human K562 cells, human U2OS cells, human Caco-2 cells, rat spleen tissue, rat thymus tissue, mouse spleen tissue, mouse thymus tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 1:500 overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:500, ECL detection.
