Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes polycomb protein EED in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 50.2 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 70 kDa.
EED is a core WD40 subunit of Polycomb repressive complex 2 (PRC2). It binds trimethylated H3K27 and stimulates the methyltransferase EZH2, helping spread this repressive mark to silence developmental genes, and it is studied in development, stem cells and cancer.

| ELISA | 0.1–0.5 µg/mL |
Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human HeLa cells, human HepG2 cells, human K562 cells, human Caco-2 cells, human SiHa cells, human RT4 cells, rat brain tissue, rat heart tissue, rat testis tissue, rat C6 cells, mouse brain tissue, mouse NIH/3T3 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): A549 cells.
Immunogen
Recombinant human EED fragment (Lys77–Arg441), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places polycomb protein EED in the nucleus and chromosome. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Expressed in brain, colon, heart, kidney, liver, lung, muscle, ovary, peripheral blood leukocytes, pancreas, placenta, prostate, spleen, small intestine, testis, thymus and uterus. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
