Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects C-C motif chemokine 26 (gene CCL26) in human samples and is validated for Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 10.6 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 11 kDa.
CCL26 (also called eotaxin-3) is a C-C chemokine that attracts eosinophils and basophils, mainly by binding CCR3, and it can also act on CX3CR1. It is strongly induced by the Th2 cytokines IL-4 and IL-13 and is one of the most upregulated genes in eosinophilic esophagitis, making it a common marker in allergic inflammation research.

Validated Applications
| Western blot | 0.1–0.5 µg/mL (Human) |
|---|
Samples with a confirmed band (WB): COLO320 cells, A549 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide from the C-terminal region of human eotaxin 3.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt describes C-C motif chemokine 26 as a secreted protein. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Ubiquitously expressed at low levels in various tissues including heart and ovary. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
