Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects eotaxin (gene Ccl11) in mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 10.9 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 37 kDa.
Eotaxin (CCL11) is a C-C chemokine that recruits eosinophils and other leukocytes, mainly by binding the receptor CCR3. It is a key mediator of eosinophil accumulation in allergic inflammation, including asthma and atopic disease, and it has also been studied as a factor whose circulating levels rise with age.

Validated Applications
| Western blot | 0.1–0.5 µg/mL (Mouse, Rat) |
|---|
Samples with a confirmed band (WB): recombinant mouse Eotaxin protein.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide from the C-terminal region of mouse eotaxin. The peptide sequence is conserved in rat.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with mouse and rat. UniProt describes eotaxin as a secreted protein. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (mouse): Expressed constitutively in the thymus. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
