Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects eotaxin (gene Ccl11) in mouse samples and is validated for Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 10.9 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 11 kDa.
Eotaxin (CCL11) is a C-C chemokine that recruits eosinophils and other leukocytes, mainly by binding the receptor CCR3. It is a key mediator of eosinophil accumulation in allergic inflammation, including asthma and atopic disease, and it has also been studied as a factor whose circulating levels rise with age.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): mouse lung tissue, mouse intestines tissue, human HeLa cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Immunogen
Recombinant mouse Eotaxin fragment (His24–Pro97), expressed in E. coli. Sequence identity with the human and rat orthologs: 62% and 97%, respectively.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with mouse. UniProt describes eotaxin as a secreted protein. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (mouse): Expressed constitutively in the thymus. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
