Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes epithelial cell adhesion molecule (gene Epcam) in mouse and rat samples and is validated for IHC, ICC/IF and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 35.0 kDa.
EpCAM (CD326) is a transmembrane glycoprotein on most epithelial cells that mediates homophilic cell-cell adhesion. It also influences proliferation and stem cell maintenance, and it is highly expressed in many carcinomas. EpCAM is widely used to identify and isolate epithelial and circulating tumor cells, and EPCAM mutations cause congenital tufting enteropathy.

Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): mouse intestine tissue, rat intestine tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Conditions in the example images (IHC): heat-mediated antigen retrieval in EDTA buffer (pH 8.0).
Samples with confirmed staining (ICC/IF): mouse intestine tissue.
