Product Overview
Clone 28E39 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes epsin-1 (gene EPN1) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot and ICC/IF. The predicted molecular weight is 60.3 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 90 kDa.
Epsin-1 (EPN1) is an endocytic adaptor that binds PI(4,5)P2-rich membranes through its ENTH domain, bending the membrane to help form clathrin-coated pits. It also binds ubiquitinated cargo, clathrin and AP-2, and supports receptor-mediated endocytosis of signaling receptors.

Immunogen
Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human epsin 1.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places epsin-1 in the cytoplasm, cell membrane, nucleus and membrane. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
