Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes nuclear egress protein 1 (gene NEC1) in epstein-barr virus samples.
In Epstein-Barr virus, nuclear egress protein 1 (NEC1, encoded by BFLF2) works with NEC2 to move newly built capsids out of the host nucleus. The pair forms a complex at the inner nuclear membrane that makes capsids bud into the perinuclear space and then fuse with the outer membrane, releasing them into the cytoplasm.

Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with epstein-barr virus. UniProt places nuclear egress protein 1 in the host nucleus inner membrane.
