This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets nuclear egress protein 2 (gene NEC2) in epstein-barr virus samples.
In Epstein-Barr virus, nuclear egress protein 2 (NEC2, encoded by BFRF1) is a membrane-anchored partner of NEC1. Together they form the nuclear egress complex that drives capsid budding through the nuclear envelope, and NEC2 has also been reported to blunt host type I interferon signaling.
