Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects triplex capsid protein 1 (gene TRX1) in epstein-barr virus samples.
In Epstein-Barr virus, triplex capsid protein 1 (TRX1, encoded by BORF1) is a structural component of the icosahedral capsid. One TRX1 and two TRX2 molecules form triplexes that connect neighboring capsomers, and TRX1 also helps bring TRX2 into the nucleus, where capsids are assembled.

Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with epstein-barr virus. UniProt places triplex capsid protein 1 in the virion and host nucleus.
