Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes epstein-Barr nuclear antigen 1 (gene EBNA1) in epstein-barr virus samples.
EBNA1 is an Epstein-Barr virus protein expressed in all latently infected cells. It binds the viral origin oriP, supports replication of the viral episome once per cell cycle and tethers it to host chromosomes so it is passed to daughter cells, making it central to studies of EBV latency and EBV-associated tumors.
