Product Overview
Clone 26E15 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes DNA excision repair protein ERCC-8 (gene ERCC8) in human samples and is validated for Western blot and immunoprecipitation. The predicted molecular weight is 44.1 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 44 kDa.
CSA (ERCC8) is a WD40-repeat protein that serves as the substrate receptor of a CUL4-DDB1 E3 ubiquitin ligase. It acts in transcription-coupled nucleotide excision repair, which clears lesions that block RNA polymerase II, and mutations in ERCC8 cause Cockayne syndrome type A.

|---|---|
| Immunoprecipitation | 1:50 |
Samples with a confirmed band (WB): Molt4 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human ERCC8.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places DNA excision repair protein ERCC-8 in the nucleus, chromosome and nucleus matrix. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
