Product Overview
Clone 26E96 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes erlin-2 (gene ERLIN2) in human and mouse samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC and ICC/IF. The predicted molecular weight is 37.8 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 38 kDa.
Erlin-2 (ERLIN2) is an SPFH-domain protein of the endoplasmic reticulum membrane that forms large complexes with Erlin-1. The complex promotes ER-associated degradation of activated IP3 receptors and supports sterol-regulated degradation of HMG-CoA reductase, linking it to calcium signaling and cholesterol homeostasis.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human HeLa cells, human THP-1 cells, human RT4 cells, human A431 cells, mouse liver tissue, mouse spleen tissue, mouse lung tissue, mouse kidney tissue, mouse skin tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 1:500 overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:500, ECL detection.
