Product Overview
Clone 21E49 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes estrogen receptor (gene ESR1) in human samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 66.2 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 66 kDa.
Estrogen receptor alpha (ESR1, ERα) is a ligand-activated nuclear receptor that binds estradiol. It regulates gene expression by binding estrogen response elements or partnering with other transcription factors, controlling growth and differentiation in reproductive tissues, bone and other organs. ERα status is a key classification marker in breast cancer research.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human PC-3 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 10% SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 1:500 overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
