Product Overview
Clone 18C38 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes exportin-2 (gene CSE1L) in human and mouse samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 110.4 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 98 kDa.
Exportin-2 (CSE1L, also called CAS) is a nuclear transport receptor that returns importin-α to the cytoplasm after it has delivered its cargo into the nucleus. It forms an export complex with importin-α and GTP-bound Ran, and GTP hydrolysis on the cytoplasmic side releases the complex, making CSE1L a core part of the classical nuclear import cycle.
