Product Overview
Clone ADDE-6 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes FAS-associated death domain protein (gene Fadd) in mouse samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 23.0 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 28 kDa.
FADD is an adaptor protein with a death domain and a death effector domain. It is recruited to activated death receptors such as FAS and TNFR1, where it brings in caspase-8 or caspase-10 to form the death-inducing signaling complex (DISC). FADD is essential for extrinsic apoptosis and also regulates necroptosis and immune signaling.
