Product Overview
Clone 22F42 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes fructose-1,6-bisphosphatase 1 (gene FBP1) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot and IHC. The predicted molecular weight is 36.8 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 37 kDa.
Fructose-1,6-bisphosphatase 1 (FBP1) is a rate-limiting enzyme of gluconeogenesis that removes a phosphate from fructose 1,6-bisphosphate, producing fructose 6-phosphate. It works mainly in the liver and kidney to support glucose production, and it is studied in glucose homeostasis, metabolic disease and the metabolic reprogramming of cancer cells.
