Product Overview
Clone 20F64 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes F-box only protein 32 (gene FBXO32) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot and ICC/IF. The predicted molecular weight is 41.6 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 42 kDa.
FBXO32, also called atrogin-1 or MAFbx, is a muscle-enriched F-box protein that serves as the substrate-recognition part of an SCF E3 ubiquitin ligase. It is strongly induced during skeletal muscle atrophy and targets proteins for proteasomal degradation, so it is widely used as a marker in muscle wasting and atrophy research.

Validated Applications
| Western blot | 1:500–1:2000 |
|---|---|
| Immunocytochemistry / Immunofluorescence | 1:50–1:200 |
Samples with a confirmed band (WB): rat heart tissue, rat skeletal muscle tissue, mouse heart tissue, mouse skeletal muscle tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 10% SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 1:500 overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human fbx32.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places F-box only protein 32 in the cytoplasm and nucleus. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Specifically expressed in cardiac and skeletal muscle. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
