Product Overview
Clone AG-6 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes fibroblast growth factor 21 (gene FGF21) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot and IHC. The predicted molecular weight is 22.3 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 22 kDa.
Fibroblast growth factor 21 (FGF21) is an endocrine FGF made mainly by the liver in response to fasting and nutritional stress. It signals through FGF receptors together with the coreceptor β-Klotho to increase glucose uptake in fat cells and improve insulin sensitivity. FGF21 is widely studied in energy metabolism, obesity and metabolic disease.
