Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes fibroblast growth factor 9 (gene FGF9) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 23.4 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 26 kDa.
Fibroblast growth factor 9 (FGF9) is a secreted growth factor that regulates cell proliferation, differentiation and migration during development. It has important roles in male sex determination, lung and skeletal development, and it is also expressed by glial cells and neurons. FGF9 is studied in development, tissue repair and cancer.

Validated Applications
| Western blot | 0.1–0.5 µg/mL |
|---|
Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human COLO-320 cells, rat brain tissue, mouse brain tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 50 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:10000, ECL detection.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide from the N-terminal region of human FGF9. The peptide sequence is conserved in mouse and rat.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt describes fibroblast growth factor 9 as a secreted protein. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Glial cells. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
