Product Overview
Clone AAID-6 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes fibroblast growth factor receptor 3 (gene FGFR3) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 87.7 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 98 kDa.
Fibroblast growth factor receptor 3 (FGFR3) is a receptor tyrosine kinase that responds to FGFs and acts as a brake on chondrocyte proliferation in growing bone. Activating FGFR3 mutations cause achondroplasia and related skeletal dysplasias, and FGFR3 alterations are frequent in bladder cancer, so it is studied in bone growth and oncology.
