Product Overview
Clone ABHA-6 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes fibroblast growth factor receptor 4 (gene FGFR4) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 88.0 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 88 kDa.
Fibroblast growth factor receptor 4 (FGFR4) is a receptor tyrosine kinase that, together with the coreceptor β-Klotho, mediates FGF19 signaling in the liver. It regulates bile acid synthesis and aspects of lipid and glucose metabolism, and it also contributes to muscle development. FGFR4 is studied in metabolism and in liver cancer.

Validated Applications
| Western blot | 1:500–1:2000 |
|---|
Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human MCF-7 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 1:500 overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human FGFR4.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places fibroblast growth factor receptor 4 in the cell membrane, endosome and endoplasmic reticulum. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Expressed in gastrointestinal epithelial cells, pancreas, and gastric and pancreatic cancer cell lines. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
