Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects tyrosine-protein kinase Fgr in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 59.5 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 59 kDa.
Fgr is a Src family non-receptor tyrosine kinase expressed mainly in myeloid cells such as neutrophils, monocytes, macrophages and mast cells. It relays signals from immune receptors that lack their own kinase activity and helps regulate adhesion, phagocytosis, degranulation and cytoskeletal remodeling. Fgr is studied in innate immunity and inflammation.

Validated Applications
| Western blot | 0.1–0.5 µg/mL |
|---|
Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human SW579 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 50 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:10000, ECL detection.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide from the C-terminal region of human FGR. Sequence identity with the mouse and rat orthologs: 92%.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places tyrosine-protein kinase Fgr in the cell membrane, cell projection and cytoplasm. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Detected in neutrophils, monocytes and natural killer cells (at protein level). The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
