Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects four and a half LIM domains protein 3 (gene FHL3) in human and rat samples and is validated for Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 31.2 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 31 kDa.
Four and a half LIM domains protein 3 (FHL3) is a LIM-domain protein expressed mainly in skeletal muscle. It interacts with cytoskeletal and transcriptional proteins and can act as a transcriptional coactivator, for example of FOXK1 together with SOX15. FHL3 is studied in muscle biology and gene regulation.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human K562 cells, rat heart tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.

Synthetic peptide from the N-terminal region of human FHL3. The peptide sequence is conserved in mouse.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human and rat. UniProt places four and a half LIM domains protein 3 in the nucleus and cytoplasm. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Expressed only in skeletal muscle. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
