Product Overview
Clone 25F66 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes flavin-containing monooxygenase 3 (gene FMO3) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC and ICC/IF. The predicted molecular weight is 60.0 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 60 kDa.
Flavin-containing monooxygenase 3 (FMO3) is the main FMO in adult liver and oxygenates many nitrogen- and sulfur-containing drugs and dietary compounds. It converts trimethylamine from gut bacteria into trimethylamine N-oxide (TMAO), and loss-of-function mutations cause trimethylaminuria. FMO3 is studied in drug metabolism and in TMAO and cardiometabolic research.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): rat kidney tissue, mouse kidney tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 10% SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 1:500 overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human FMO3.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places flavin-containing monooxygenase 3 in the microsome membrane and endoplasmic reticulum membrane. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Liver. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
