Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets protein FosB in human samples and is validated for IHC, ICC/IF and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 35.9 kDa.
FosB is a FOS family transcription factor that dimerizes with JUN proteins to form AP-1 complexes that regulate gene expression. A truncated splice form, ΔFosB, is unusually stable and builds up in the brain after repeated stimulation, so FosB is widely studied in addiction, stress and neuronal adaptation.

Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): human lung cancer tissue, human gallbladder adenocarcinoma tissue, human placenta tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Conditions in the example images (IHC): heat-mediated antigen retrieval in EDTA buffer (pH 8.0).
Samples with confirmed staining (ICC/IF): SiHa cells.

Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places protein FosB in the nucleus. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Expressed in the nucleus accumbens of the striatum (at protein level).
