| Immunogen | A synthesized peptide derived from human FOXP1 Transcriptional repressor. It plays an important role in the specification and differentiation of lung epithelium. Can act with CTBP1 to synergistically repress transcription but CTPBP1 is not essential. Essential transcriptional regulator of B cell development. |

Product Overview
Clone AFFD-6 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes forkhead box protein P1 (gene FOXP1) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF, immunoprecipitation and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 75.3 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 75 kDa.
FOXP1 is a forkhead transcriptional repressor that regulates development of the lung, heart, brain and immune system, including B-cell and T-cell differentiation. FOXP1 variants are linked to intellectual disability, autism and speech delay, and it is also studied in lymphoma and other cancers.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): Daudi cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human FOXP1 Transcriptional repressor.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places forkhead box protein P1 in the nucleus. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Isoform 8 is specifically expressed in embryonic stem cells. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
