Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets transcription factor castor in Fruit fly samples.
In Drosophila, Castor (cas) is a zinc-finger transcription factor expressed late in the temporal sequence of neuroblast identity factors (Hunchback, Krüppel, Pdm, Castor). It helps specify which neurons are produced at later stages of central nervous system development, and it is a classic model for studying neural temporal patterning.

Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with Fruit fly. UniProt places transcription factor castor in the nucleus. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (Drosophila): Expressed in a specific subset of neuroblasts in the ventral nerve cord and the procephalic region in the embryo.
