Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes contactin in Fruit fly samples.
In Drosophila, Contactin (Cont) is a GPI-anchored adhesion protein required for the organization of septate junctions, the invertebrate counterpart of vertebrate paranodal and tight junctions. Together with Neurexin IV and Neuroglian it builds the paracellular barrier of epithelia and glia, including the blood–brain barrier of the fly.

Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with Fruit fly. UniProt places contactin in the cell membrane and cell junction. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (Drosophila): Expressed in ectodermally derived epithelial cells from stage 12.
