Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects protein dachsous (gene ds) in Fruit fly samples.
In Drosophila, Dachsous (Ds) is a large atypical cadherin that binds Fat on neighboring cells. It helps set planar cell polarity and tissue growth in imaginal discs and contributes to left-right asymmetry of adult structures, making it a classic model protein in developmental patterning.

Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with Fruit fly. UniProt places protein dachsous in the cell membrane and cell junction. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (Drosophila): Expressed in embryonic ectoderm.
