Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes very long chain fatty acid elongase 7 (gene Elovl7) in Fruit fly samples.
In Drosophila, Elovl7 is a predicted fatty acid elongase of the ELOVL family. Members of this family sit in the endoplasmic reticulum and carry out the first, rate-limiting step of the cycle that adds two carbons at a time to long-chain fatty acids, supplying very long chain fatty acids for membrane and other lipids.

Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with Fruit fly. UniProt places very long chain fatty acid elongase 7 in the membrane.
