Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets paired box protein Pax-6 (gene ey) in Fruit fly samples.
In Drosophila, eyeless (ey) encodes a Pax6-family transcription factor with a paired domain and a homeodomain. It is a key upstream regulator of eye development, and its ectopic expression can induce eye tissue in other body parts, making it a classic model gene for studying organ specification.

Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with Fruit fly. UniProt places paired box protein Pax-6 in the nucleus. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (Drosophila): Expression is confined to the eye imaginal disks, parts of the brain, the ventral ganglion and the salivary glands.
