Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets mitochondrial fission 1 protein (gene Fis1) in Fruit fly samples.
Mitochondrial fission 1 protein (FIS1) is a tail-anchored protein of the outer mitochondrial membrane and peroxisomes. It contributes to fragmentation of the mitochondrial network, partly by helping recruit the fission GTPase DRP1, although other adaptors play larger roles in mammals. FIS1 is studied in mitochondrial dynamics, mitophagy and cell stress; it is also conserved in Drosophila.
| Target | Mitochondrial fission 1 protein (gene Fis1; UniProt B7YZT2, Drosophila) |

Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with Fruit fly. UniProt places mitochondrial fission 1 protein in the mitochondrion outer membrane.
