Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes protein lethal(2)essential for life (gene l(2)efl) in Fruit fly samples.
In Drosophila melanogaster, l(2)efl (lethal(2) essential for life) encodes a small heat shock protein of the α-crystallin family. Such proteins act as ATP-independent chaperones that help keep partially unfolded proteins from aggregating, and in the fruit fly this gene has been described as having an essential role in embryonic development.
