Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes transmembrane GTPase Marf in Fruit fly samples and is validated for ICC/IF.
In Drosophila, Marf is the mitofusin homolog, a GTPase in the outer mitochondrial membrane that drives mitochondrial fusion and clustering. By balancing mitochondrial fission, it keeps the mitochondrial network in shape, and fly models use it to study mitochondrial quality control, including its interplay with the Parkin pathway, in muscle and neurons.

Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with Fruit fly. UniProt places transmembrane GTPase Marf in the mitochondrion outer membrane. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (Drosophila): Widely expressed in embryos, accumulating in the mesoderm and endoderm during gut development.
