Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets ATP-dependent RNA helicase me31b in Fruit fly samples and is validated for Western blot.
In Drosophila, Me31B is a DEAD-box RNA helicase and a core component of ribonucleoprotein granules such as P-bodies. Working with partners such as Tral and Cup, it represses translation of maternal mRNAs during oogenesis and early embryogenesis and promotes mRNA decapping. It is a model protein for studying translational control, RNA granules and germline development.

Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, primary antibody at 1:10 overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:10, ECL detection.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with Fruit fly. UniProt places ATP-dependent RNA helicase me31b in the cytoplasm, endoplasmic reticulum and cell projection. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (Drosophila): Ubiquitously expressed throughout the brain (at protein level).
