Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes MITF in Fruit fly samples.
MITF is a basic helix-loop-helix leucine zipper transcription factor that is the master regulator of melanocyte development, survival and pigmentation. It activates pigment genes such as tyrosinase through E-box and M-box elements and is controlled by mTOR in response to nutrients, so it is widely studied in melanocyte biology, melanoma and lysosome regulation. A related Mitf protein is also found in Drosophila.
