Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets prohibitin (gene Phb2) in Fruit fly samples and is validated for Western blot and ICC/IF.
Prohibitin 2 (PHB2, also called REA) forms ring complexes with prohibitin 1 in the inner mitochondrial membrane that stabilize respiratory chain components, regulate cardiolipin and OMA1, and act as a receptor for mitophagy. In the nucleus it represses estrogen receptor activity. PHB2 is studied in mitochondrial biology in human and Drosophila.
