Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets DNA repair protein Rad51 homolog (gene spn-A) in Fruit fly samples.
In Drosophila, spindle-A (spn-A) encodes the fly homolog of the recombinase Rad51. It carries out strand exchange during homologous recombination repair of DNA breaks, and in the female germline it is needed to repair meiotic breaks so that oocyte polarity and egg axis formation proceed normally.
