Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes uricase (gene Uro) in Fruit fly samples.
In Drosophila, Uro is urate oxidase (uricase), an enzyme that oxidizes uric acid as the first step in its breakdown toward allantoin. It is expressed in the Malpighian tubules, the fly's excretory organ, and is studied in purine metabolism and as a model of uric acid handling.
