Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes voltage-dependent anion-selective channel (gene porin) in Fruit fly samples.
In Drosophila, Porin is the voltage-dependent anion channel (VDAC) of the mitochondrial outer membrane. It forms a pore that lets metabolites and ions cross the outer membrane and switches between open and closed states depending on voltage. Fly studies link Porin to Parkin-dependent mitophagy and to regulation of apoptosis.

Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with Fruit fly. UniProt places voltage-dependent anion-selective channel in the mitochondrion outer membrane.
