Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects secreted frizzled-related protein 3 (gene Frzb) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 36.0 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 36 kDa.
FRZB (secreted frizzled-related protein 3, sFRP3) is a secreted Wnt antagonist that contains a frizzled-like cysteine-rich domain. By binding Wnt ligands directly it dampens Wnt signaling, and it helps control chondrocyte maturation and long bone formation. FRZB is studied in skeletal development and cartilage biology, including osteoarthritis research.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human U251 cells, human SH-SY5Y cells, human HepG2 cells, human PC-3 cells, rat kidney tissue, rat brain tissue, mouse kidney tissue, mouse brain tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 10% SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.

Recombinant mouse FRZB fragment (Asn49–Lys311), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt describes secreted frizzled-related protein 3 as a secreted protein. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (mouse): Expressed in kidney, brain, testis. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
