Product Overview
Clone AFGI-6 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes follitropin subunit beta (gene FSHB) in human samples and is validated for Western blot and immunoprecipitation. The predicted molecular weight is 14.7 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 22 kDa.
FSHB is the hormone-specific β subunit of follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH). It pairs with the common glycoprotein α subunit (CGA) to form active FSH, which is released by the pituitary and acts through FSHR to support ovarian follicle growth and spermatogenesis. FSHβ is also studied in fish, as a model of reproductive endocrinology.
