Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects RNA-binding protein FXR1 in human, mouse, rat and monkey samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 69.7 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 80 kDa.
FXR1 is an RNA-binding protein of the fragile X protein family, related to FMRP and FXR2. It binds target mRNAs, including AU-rich elements in 3′-UTRs, to regulate their translation and stability. FXR1 is highly expressed in muscle and testis and is studied in muscle development, spermatogenesis, neural function and cancer.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human HeLa cells, human HEK293 cells, monkey skeletal muscle tissue, monkey heart tissue, rat heart tissue, mouse heart tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): human breast cancer tissue, human lung cancer tissue, mouse brain tissue, rat brain tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Conditions in the example images (IHC): heat-mediated antigen retrieval in EDTA buffer (pH 8.0).
Samples with confirmed staining (ICC/IF): T47D cells.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): A431 cells.
Immunogen
Recombinant human FXR1 fragment (Asp149–Ala614), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse, rat and monkey. UniProt places RNA-binding protein FXR1 in the cytoplasm, cell projection, nucleus envelope and postsynapse. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Expressed in all tissues examined including heart, brain, kidney and testis. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
