Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects polypeptide N-acetylgalactosaminyltransferase 2 (gene GALNT2) in human and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, ICC/IF, immunoprecipitation and ELISA.
GALNT2 is a widely expressed polypeptide N-acetylgalactosaminyltransferase that begins mucin-type O-glycosylation of many proteins. Its known substrates include ANGPTL3 and apolipoprotein C-III, and variants in GALNT2 are associated with plasma HDL cholesterol and triglyceride levels, so it is studied in glycobiology and lipid metabolism.

Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human and rat. UniProt describes polypeptide N-acetylgalactosaminyltransferase 2 as secreted and also located in the Golgi apparatus. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Detected in urine (at protein level).
