Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes N-acetylgalactosaminyltransferase 7 (gene GALNT7) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF, immunoprecipitation and ELISA.
GALNT7 is an unusual member of the polypeptide N-acetylgalactosaminyltransferase family. Instead of starting O-glycosylation on bare peptides, it adds further GalNAc residues to peptides that already carry GalNAc, helping fill neighboring sites. It is studied in O-glycosylation and cancer biology.

Recombinant human GALNT7 fragment (Lys67–Val657), expressed in E. coli. Sequence identity with the mouse and rat orthologs: 95.6% and 95.8%, respectively.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places N-acetylgalactosaminyltransferase 7 in the Golgi apparatus membrane. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Widely expressed.
