Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects trifunctional purine biosynthetic protein adenosine-3 (gene GART) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, flow cytometry and ELISA.
GART is a trifunctional enzyme that carries out three steps (steps 2, 3 and 5) of de novo purine synthesis leading to inosine monophosphate. Its formyltransferase activity uses a folate cofactor and is a target of antifolate drugs, so GART is studied in nucleotide metabolism and cancer.
